Publicize Your Project

Hello everyone,

As there are many more of you than there are folks on either the Open
Source Team or our Corporate Communications (Public Relations) Team,
we decided to create some documentation to help you showcase all of
your successes in Google Summer of Code. We'd like to encourage all of
you to go out and spread the Summer love by talking to reporters,
issuing press releases, etc., according to the guidelines.[0]

If you have questions about press type stuff, feel free to email me.

Please note that we ask two things of you when approaching the press:

1) Please use our brand properly as discussed in the document. This
means no use of the Google logo and a few other items. You are, of
course, welcome to use the Google Summer of Code logo.[1]

2) Tell us about any articles, news stories, etc. that come out of
your efforts to publicize your project. A quick email to me will do
nicely. If you are going to issue a press release, I need to bless it
before it hits the wire.
