Dawen, I have found it useful to ongoing monitor the "tail data-
connector-agent/log/agent.log" with a cron job to see when specific
disconnection messages (or no messages) occur. To test for
disconnection, I simply set a trigger to make the system attempt to
receive data and look for closed connections to exit without taking
action. I also set a value send an email and to not try to
reestablish a connection if the reconnection doesn't work.
For static spreadsheets that use the sdc, I use an "importRange"
functions to repopulate from a single spreadsheet cell which can then
be altered with the Google Spreadsheets API upon establishing a
connection after a connection loss.
I have toyed with populating data directly via the Google Spreadsheets
API itself, but have found it not as versatile for large data sets as
SDC so far which is the main reason for continuing to use SDC despite
the errors.
When I first used SDC, I had a cron job blindly establish a connection
every hour which caused more failures. I found debugging the log to be
more stable than reconnecting. I hope this helps.

Hope this helps.
