You could estimate the number by counting the number of prefixes and hostkey entries and subtracting those that are also in a sub chunks.
I'm not sure how accurate the count would be. You would have to post each prefix to Google and count the number of full hashes returned to get a more accurate count. This would undoubtedly be considered abuse of the API however.
