For several months already, I'm using Google Reader with Opera. When I tried to use it today, it's not working anymore. Only the upper toolbar (logo, Google Account, etc). is displayed. I am using Opera 9.23 both on Windows and Linux.

Here's the error message on the error console when I try to load Google Reader on Opera 9.23 (Linux)

Same here. I have been using it for months and today it stopped working with Opera 9.23 :( I am using Maxthon for now, but I hope there is some fix out for this soon!

Confirm identical failure with 9.23 on Windows XP here. I'm not a happy bunny :-(.
Does not work for me, just the top header appears stopped working for me this morning its blank all the way down. When I use IE7 it seems there are some new changes to the number system. Changes that don't work for other browsers.
desktop doesn't work Version 9.20 Build 8771 Platform Win32 System Windows XP Java Sun Java Runtime Environment version 1.4
laptop doesn't work Version 9.23 Build 8808 Platform Win32 System Windows XP Java Sun Java Runtime Environment version 1.4
Thought I'd try the Mobile Reader until the bugs were ironed out, but this though just keeps throwing a 500 - internal server error. Tested with both Windows Desktop and Windows Mobile versions of Opera...
Must be the big bug day at Google. Thought I'd leave a comment in Matt Cutts blog post about the updated Reader (http://www.mattcutts.com/ blog/google-reader-adds-search/), but funnily enough I'm receiving an error there as well (Standard db WP error; "Error establishing a database connection")....

This has been very disappointing for me as well. Did they really not test it with Opera at all? Hoping for a quick fix, though. I'm hopeful they get to work on this asap.
The same here, I'm seriously pissed off - how could they (google reader team) screw up so much. Come on - is it that big effort to start Opera and check if everything is allright? :(

Still down. They've had the best part of a day to fix this now.
Google, this is seriously harming your mindshare. How could people possibly consider using your services for mission-critical purposes if you can screw up so badly?

Dan G.: I'm upset too, but do you think Google is pushing out "Reader" for mission-critical purposes when it is still in "Labs"? (As I understand it, isn't Labs even a step below "Beta"?)
I am running Windows XP and Opera 9.23 on one laptop and Kubuntu 7.04 and Opera 9.23 on another laptop. Google reader is not working in both. I do not have FF so I had to use crappy IE for it. I hope we get a fix soon or I will be forced to use Opera's built in reader.
We just released some fixes that should solve the problems in Opera. Please give it another try and see how it goes. If you're still having trouble, please wait a few minutes, clear your browser's cache and cookies, then log in again.
