Using API 3 have 33 markers with custom icons and shadows, only 5
icons show up on page load but all of the shadows appear. After
zooming the map once most of them appear but a few are still missing,
zoom again and the rest appear. Scrolling a shadow outside of the
viewport then back in will make the icon appear (only if you let go
while the shadow is outside the viewport)

I can't post a link the code because of an NDA on the site it is a
part of but I need some help figuring this out. Anyone run into
something similar or have an idea here?

With what browser are you experiencing that?

Latest Firefox and Chrome on a Mac are being used to develop the site.
I couldn't find a solution to this and don't have the luxury of time
so I spent part of yesterday rebuilding the map to use the v2 API.
About the only solution I could think of.

I have seeen this behavior as well in latest firefox.

I noticed that when i change zoom level using the controls (and not
the mouse scroll wheel) then the marker does not disappear.

If i use the scroll wheel there there is a fat chance it gets
disappeared. Does not happen always, but when it happens you cannot
avoid it...

I've got the same problem, but it seems to be related to jquery css...see here:

I'm also dropping back to maps v2.

Does this problem still exist?

It looks related to this issue:

Can someone confirm?

Thanks,
