Hi,
I'm upgrading our campus map (for UEA, Norwich UK).  One feature I'd
like to add is the ability for students to get directions between
locations on campus (ultimately to enable a gps phone to give
directions from where they currently are to where they want to go.) I
have path data for all the footpaths on campus - Google data only has
a couple of roads.
I've not found any way to upload extra data into Google's data. I
wondered if I could load my paths in a KML file into a map object, and
get the direction object to include those paths.
Anyone tried this, or got any other thoughts on how to do this?

No, Google's routing engine uses only Google's data.  Or more exactly
their supplier's data.

You'd have to build your own routing engine; that may not be too
daunting a task for a campus though.  Sounds like a job for your
applied maths dept ...
