Although it has been deprecated, we occasionally make changes to the Google
Maps Javascript API v2.  From today we are introducing the following
changes to the release cycle:

   1. Updates to the API will be made to the v=2.x version and a
   notification will be posted to google-maps-api-notify<https://groups.google.com/forum/?pli=1#!forum/google-maps-api-notify>
   .
   2. Two weeks later version v=2.x will be copied to the v=2.
   3. Four weeks after the change to v=2, the same version will be copied
   to the stable version v=2.s.*The versioning of the Google Maps
