Hi,

We are building a simple social network and would like our users to have
the ability to add in a simple Google map image of where they are based.
 On Gumtree, it is possible for users to fill in their address by simply
giving their postcode and then a map is automatically generated for their
ad based on this postcode.

Can somebody suggest how best to code this or where to look?  It just needs
to be nice and simple for our users.  Currently we're asking users to copy
and paste the anchor link text from Google into a field themselves, which
has all sorts of security issues plus it's not user-friendly.

Or u can ask your user to add their address and then perform reverse
geocoding on that address to get the Lat/Lang of user and pan to that
location on google map and set that position as user address.
