Hello, my link is here: http://pakmail.com/store/index.asp when entering the zip code 30115, it should be finding the store in
that area. I have the Long and Lat set correctly for the store the API
finds it correctly when searching for 30114 even though the actual
address for the store is
12422 Cumming Highway, Suite 202
Canton, GA 30115
Any light you could shed on this would be most appreciated. thank you!
Entering zip 30115 in the zip code inquiry field brings up the correct
zip code but entering it in the address search bar, which is powered
by the Google geocoder, brings up Eastman, GA, which is about 100
miles to the south-south-east.
Not a lot you can do if you're using the API's geocoder, they just
have a lot of incorrect zip code data. There are even valid zip codes
that take you to Venus, Italy rather than the US, so go figure. Just
remember, a geocoder is more art than science, so a few misplaced
points doesn't mean it's all bad.

One more thing. Is there a place to submit incorrect data in hopes
they'll eventually fix the data? ..and what is the other option
instead of the API's geocoder? I noticed in your maps that 30115
brings up the zip correctly. ..does this mean you aren't using the
API's geocoder?
thanks again and best wishes!

We have our own database of zip codes, so for anything to do with USPS
zip codes, we rely on our own, much more accurate databases. If you
look at the example I linked earlier, the first box that asks for a
zip code uses our database, the second, which shows the point
incorrectly, uses Google's.
There is a place you can report inaccuracies on TeleAtlas's site, but
it may take years for the corrections to show up in Google's data.
Hi I am trying to get this api to work with imputing addresses into the search bar automatically (I found a link where it says I can input places but not sure if it works with addresses also). Can anyone help in this area?
Thanks
