I maintain a larger network of estate agent websites on one system. This is
an end of life system and will be removed in the coming year. Someone at
the company has deleted on of the keys for one of the website Is it at all
possible to get that key back? We arent going to upgrade to V3 because of
the cost and because like I said its an end of life system.

I have tried making a new key but this has not resolved my problem.

no you  cant get old style keys anymore.

but should just be able to use a new key. the console should be able to
issue keys for v2.

or maybe just look for a cached page you can get a key from. Google cache
or the wayback machine for example.
