Map Maker data for 140+ countries on Google Maps!

Hello Fellow Map Makers,

We now have Google Map Maker data showing on Google Maps for over 140
countries and territories! Your hard work can now be seen by millions
of people, including for the first time in the following new regions:

Albania, Belarus, British Virgin Islands, Equatorial Guinea, French
Polynesia,
Guinea-Bissau, Kosovo, Libya, Macedonia (FYROM), Mayotte, Moldova,
Montenegro, Palau, Romania, Serbia, Sudan, Timor-Leste, Vanuatu

This latest data set comes from August 26, 2009 Map Maker data. All
of
these countries are now also available in Google Earth and Google
Maps for Mobile. Many thanks for all your contributions (especially

about 8 month ago .

Pitcairn Islands, Guinea-Bissau, Cape Verde, Djibouti ...
All these countries are supported. Even Somalia.. However, Turkey is
not supported, which have more population
than sum of the %50 countries in list.

i wonder, why Turkey is not at the list...

PS can u pls update the imagery in mapmaker with the new images from
Maps and Earth ? (for Romania)

How do I add a place in Map Maker using latitude and longtitude. I
have 200 poi around my place in Thanjavur, India. I am using GPS since
2005 but dont know how to add these places in map maker. Pl help

Hey Can,

We usually can't comment on future countries, but Turkey is def. on the list - will take some more time but hang in there and keep checking the forums for updates

Hi Cristian,

Satellite tiles in MapMaker have been updated to the latest imagery in Maps.

The imagery is usually updated with a few days after Maps/Earth updates.

In the City Zooming Level of my CIty . ( Iran , MAzandaran , BAbol , )
Top Contributors
by reviews, maps and edits isnt Updated .

For Example when you search for "babol , iran " in Google Maps , There
is only name of "Babak" who had just 13 edits in the City .
but for me who have more than 4000 edit in this City , there is not
even the name .!!!!!!!!!

I really need people of my City Undrestand that I myself do the Map of
my city !!!!!!! but after this lot of works ( about 3 month ) there
isnt even my name in Top Contributors
by reviews, maps and edits ,, so how come ?!?
