I too agree that this could be improved. I am attempting to update a
fair amount of businesses along busy roads. It wastes a fair amount of
time when the "edit" link is available but clicking on it displays the
notorious "business claimed..." message. I have an idea for that -

Unfortunately, the US is not yet open for editing on Google Map
Maker. Please see the complete list of countries here:

In the meantime, you can use the Community edits and Report a problem
features of Google Maps to report & address some issues:

Hi Jan,
Thanks for helping me with this. I'm getting at least a dozen emails a day about the maps. Mapping Pakistan etc? What is this? Most times my replies come back undeliverable which is even more frustrating!

Adding places of interest

Hi, I'm responsable for the website of a small historical village in
france. I would like to add historical buildings to google maps but I
can't find any direct answers. I allready made a small map for local
use but don't know if that content will be added to the general map

Dear Reagan,

I just did a quick search for you in the member database and it
appears that you've discovered how to unsubscribe from this group via
the "Edit my membership" link in the right panel of the group. I'm not
sure why you were getting email notifications of new posts when you
clearly didn't sign up for them...we are investigating possible causes
