Imagery Requests for Map Maker

[Map Maker Guide]

Hello Dear Mappers,

We have recently been seeing a significant number of posts expressing
concerns about the lack of good/mappable imagery in areas that you are
familiar with. While a brave lot amongst us have been mapping using
Overlays, having high resolution imagery is always a good thing. As
you might have noticed, the time lag between imagery updates on Google
Map Maker and other Google products (Maps & Earth) has also gone down
considerably and we hope to keep it decreasing going forward.

To have a better handle on your requests, we have decided to create
an issue tracker template ( Imagery Request ) that allows you to
report areas that are un-mappable due to lack of good imagery. Please
also see the following page that describes the creation of the KMZ
file to be attached on the issue: http://code.google.com/p/google-mapmaker/wiki/CreateKMZ

While we might be unable to commit to specific time-lines for the
imagery to be updated, we will be trying to prioritize on areas that
are of significance to Map Maker users. Please feel free to create
issues, post them on the group & vote up for the city of your
interest ! :)

Finally!
In the past i posted a twice on the tracker requesting new imagery for
certain regions and was politely told that i ought to be talking to
the Google Earth team!

i saw there is a new image from DigitalGlobe, dated 2009/10/24

Hi Cristian,
Tracking the imagery requests here might not work out as threads get
lost after some time. You can post these on the Issue tracker for
better tracking and voting :)
