I've had Google Notifier for quite some time, and have noticed in the
past few months that the "new message indicator" beep has become
seriously un-reliable.  It still beeps whenever I get a new message,
but now it also beeps whenever I check my message (or pretty much
anytime my total message count changes) and sometimes beeps for no
discernible reason.

I'm getting a little tired of the false excitement this constantly
creates, and really tired of checking my mail when I hear the beep
only to be greeted with an unchanged mailbox.

Any suggestions?
