Right now when I click on the order prints button or shop button, a
new window pops up and nothing shows up in it. Before when this was
working, a list of places you could order photos from would show up.
On my machine that has Ubuntu 8.04 and Picasa 2.7, I do at least get
an error message that says: Failed to open URL "chrome://pippki/
content/domainMismatch.xul"., The URL "chrome://pippki/content/
domainMismatch.xul" is not supported. On my machine that has Ubuntu
9.04 and Picasa 3.0, I don't any error message just the blank Picasa
screen. Anybody have any clues as to what is going on?

I am having the same problem when trying to "shop" and upload prints
(I intend to upload to Snapfish). This feature used to work as I have
used it extensively in the past, but as of 5/16/2009 it is no longer
working for me. I am using Ubuntu 8.04, Firefix 3.0.8 and Picasa 3.0
beta. I also don't get an error message, but just a blank Picasa
screen. Hopefully someone on the Picasa project will look into it and
update us.

I see it too. It's probably because the shop site changed and broke
the shop feature. Will investigate.

Hi Picasa,

Any updates? Do you think we will see this feature working again in
the future?

I too started having this problem a few weeks ago. I am on
Fedora Core 10 x86_64 and have tried both Picasa 2.7 and
Picasa 3.0, same problem.

I don't have any error messages displayed even if I run Picasa
from the command line.

I am glad to see I am not the only one that has this problem.

I have about 10 sets of photos to upload and am getting calls
from parents about when I will upload their kid's pics from
several sport events and scouting events... I would really
hate to have to get the EXT2 driver for Windows to read
my photo partition and use Windows to upload....

I'm having this problem, too. Ubuntu Hardy, Picasa 3.

I am having the exact same issue. This worked in Picasa 3 several
weeks ago, but does not work now.
Using Ubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty) with Picasa 3 (beta).

I'm also seeing this problem on 8.10 with Picasa 2.7.

Looks like a bad URL. I run Ubuntu 9.04 with Picasa 3.0. I am
guessing the fix will be the same you might just have different paths
to the ini file. This link (http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/
Picasa/thread?tid=64e776def65715a0&hl=en) is the link that finally got
me rolling and able to make it work. Here is how I fixed it on my
machine.

To locate where your defaults.ini file is run this command:
sudo updatedb && locate defaults.ini | grep picasa

Create a backup of the defaults.ini file:
sudo cp /opt/google/picasa/3.0/wine/drive_c/Program\ Files/Google/
Picasa3/runtime/defaults.ini /opt/google/picasa/3.0/wine/drive_c/
Program\ Files/Google/Picasa3/runtime/defaults.ini.bak

Then edit the defaults.ini file with your editor of choice:
sudo vim /opt/google/picasa/3.0/wine/drive_c/Program\ Files/Google/
Picasa3/runtime/defaults.ini
replace the line -
printerURL=https://uploader.picasa.com/providers/wine/printers.php?
picasaversion=30
with this line -
printerURL=https://client4.google.com/providers/printers.html
