Hello,

Sorry that you are experiencing problems downloading the file.

Can you try the following steps please:
1) Clear the cache in Firefox and try downloading again in Firefox
2) Try the file. If the file still has problems downloading, please
send me a copy of the downloaded file as an attachment to
api....@google.com. In the e-mail, please include the exact version
of Firefox you are using (realizing that you've tried other browsers
as well). Also, if you could tell me your location, that might help
narrow things down a bit as well. I will then e-mail you a working
copy of the file and investigate further to see how we can solve this
issue for others in the future.

Thanks!

Cheers,

-Ryan

In addition to that information, if you're still experiencing
problems, please include your IP address in the e-mail so that we can
take a look at the logs.

Cheers,

-Ryan

Hello,

I e-mailed a copy on March 22nd-- Hopefully you received it. Please
let me know if you have any questions. I couldn't find the e-mail
from you- if you are comfortable re-sending it with the additional
information requested, it may be helpful in tracking down the problem
with the download for others in the future.

Thanks,

-Ryan

Hi,

I am also experiencing problems with this zip - winrar reports a
premeture end of file. I have tried downloading with Firefox on
Windows and Camino on Mac OS X - using the latest browser versions. I
downloaded the previous zip without problems a week or so ago. Is
there anywhere else we can get hold of this zip whilst Google are
fixing the problem?

Cheers,

Dafydd

I have sent a copy of the zip files to those who are experiencing problems.  We're still working on a resolution for this issue.

If anyone who is experiencing problems can send me their physical location and/or IP address, that may be helpful in determining the root cause.

Thanks for your patience,

-Ryan

I've been searching Google Group and found that it's a popular problem
since last year. Why Google hasn't found the problem and fix it?

Thanks,
Victor

Hi,

Thanks everyone for their patience and for providing information to
help us investigate this problem.

To solve these issues and to improve your experience, we've moved the
Java client library to a project on the project hosting feature of
code.google.com

The links on the GData site will be updated shortly.

Please see the project at:
http://code.google.com/p/gdata-java-client/

The downloads page is at:
http://code.google.com/p/gdata-java-client/downloads/list

Thanks again!

Happy coding,

-Ryan

No problem.

The list of Google Data services is available at:
http://code.google.com/apis/gdata/

There is a contacts API.  One of the Google Apps APIs is an e-mail migration API which allows you to import messages into your Google Apps e-mail account (premier or education).    However, there is no Google Data API to read e-mail (try using POP/IMAP if you'd like to do that.

Cheers,
-Ryan
