Hello,
I would start to work on Gdata framework for cocoa applications. I
will starts making a sort of port of gdata library for java. I've only
a question: is gdata api used to interface with Gmail service? (into
the official page there is not any mention to webmail service, only
spreadsheet,calendar,search etc.).
Thanks.

The Mac is an important development platform for Google, so you can
expect to see more support for Mac developers from Google soon.

Gmail's current client interface is via POP, not GData, though
administrators of sites using Google Apps can use the provisioning
GData APIs for managing accounts and mailing lists.
