Example guice-servlet implementation with db and view layer?

Are there any examples of using guice+ servlets that have a db/service/
view layer that I can learn from?

the exemple is JSF + guice + hibernate + jpa + primefaces

have one problem, described in the context listener (bootstrap), the other things works perfectly

if you find a solution to the problem shown there and can share with me...

I'm looking for just a raw servlets + guice type tutorial, not using a
framework like spring or primefaces.

I'm writing a little app that uses Guice-Servlet, DbUtils for persistence and Jamon for templating. I haven't yet really broken out a service layer. That will probably come later. Hopefully it's not too idiosyncratic too be easily comprehensible.
