I have a couple of points which I'd like to make. Hope that's Ok

1. Activities: I get quite allot of page views where either the social
bar or the activities gadget don't populate with any activities.
This is usually fixed by a page refresh, but that's something which
visitors won't generally do.
Is there anything which can be done to prevent this happening? why
does it happen?

2. Comment Gadget (wall gadget): From a user point of view it would
make MUCH more sense if replies to a comment where ordered differently
than they are now. e.g. if subsequent replies to a comment appeared
under the previous rather than at the top.
Currently it works like so:

This is an original comment ---- 0
---- This is the third reply ---- 3
---- This is the second reply ---- 2
---- This is the first reply --- 1

Where it would read much better if replies where ordered differently
e.g.

This is an original comment ---- 0
---- This is the first reply ---- 1
---- This is the second reply ---- 2
---- This is the third reply ---- 3

Could it be done? Do you not think it makes more sense?

qwallis..

1) Are the missing activities (on the blank pages) more than 13 days
old? If so, they get removed

2) The second example is more like 99.9% of the standard commenting
solutions.

Disqus gives the reader an option but the default in like a "normal"
comment box.

No. I know activites (not comments) have a limited life.
The "activities gadget" just doesn't populate with the data, but shows
the message it would if the HAD been no site activity for longer than
thirteen days.
Like I said a page refresh always brings site activities back: but I
would like to know if there is something I can do to prevent this
happening.
I assume it is a server latencey issue or something?

Does that mean that you think the suggestion to have the way replies
re-ordered makes sense to you?
I hope so :-)

I know Disqus: but as far as I understand they do not currently allow
commenting through Friend Connect?
If that has changed recelty I would certainly consider implementing
Disqus if I could enable Friend Connect AND Facebook integration.

I would not want to do without Friend Connect entirely because I am
much more in favour of the Open Social concept rather than Facebook's
"single corridor" method.
