Google Finance Portfolio-related news filter not working properly.

I have, for example, LON:PMO shares. The allegedly portfolio-related
news displayed for PMO has seldom anything to do with Premier Oil, but
is drowned out by such totally irrelevant things such as the Indian
Prime Minister's Office, various Indian power company and Indian
ministry data. It would help a lot if someone sharpened up the news
filters, to make them genuinely portfolio-related. Thank you.

I have recently noticed this on my portfolio also - the portfolio news is now filled with general news items mostly unrelated to my stocks.  This was fine a couple of weeks ago although I have to agree with another poster on here in saying that the Yahoo portfolio news was always much deeper and more refined than what I see in Google Finance.

I can report that my portfolio related news now seems to be working fine - all news items listed contain at least one reference to something in my portfolio so it's all good to me.

Mine is still acting this way.  Mine is dominated by Rail news as I have CSX in my portfolio among 60 or 70 other tickers.  The other tickers include many Large Caps, but 100% of the time for ~ 3 months, all I get in my portfolio news is CSX/Rail news.

My portfolio shows the same problem. It shows hews only for one stock out of 15 in the portfolio

I too am having the same issue where the portfolio related news is always dominated by one stock (EMC in my case). I have 10 other stocks listed in my portfolio and news from the other stocks never show. How are the stories triggered to show?  Is it based on click throughs to the sites or recent stories?

Dear Albert and Google,

There is room for vast improvement in the Finance portfolio related news.  My news is dominated by Apple.   This is one of the stocks in my portfolio.   I never get news on the other 20 or so other stocks I follow.  I would like to use Google rather than Competitor X.  Google has been doing good things in computing.  I would also like to suggest that portfolio related news is an area that can be expanded once it is fixed.

I suppose "properly" is in the eyes of the beholder. While I am now getting results related to the securities in my portfolio, the results are from bogus "news" sites.

It is less then useful to receive the two-bit opinions of amateur day traders. Much more useful would be professional, objective data on the securities in the portfolio.
