Thanks for the suggestions. The initing won't work - I think in IE
the scripts are downloaded after the images or some such order...
basically the javascript isn't there yet when the img onload is
fired. The other suggestion window.onload, that works for a normal
page (and the example I posted here), but in my app, it is an AJAX

This sounds like one of the rare cases where having a document onload
handler might be a good idea, that way it will fire after the image has
loaded and the canvas emulation has been initialized.
Another option would be to manually initialize the canvas emulation in
the drawArc method, like this:

Cool. It would be nice to add a more generic mechanism for these but
I'm not sure it is worth it. One simple compromise would be to at
least override attachEvent and detachEvent to do the semi right thing.

ctx.fillStyle.width2
ctx.fillStyle.height2
In canvas aware browsers I have used a clip region with a scaling
transform and a drawImage call.
For IE the only option has been to use a pattern with a scaled image.

Haven't had a chance to look at that yet, sure sounds exciting though.
Do you have a demo of it running somewhere?
Also if you could send a diff against the head version from svn that
