Subject: Google Earth Builder Service Updates - 4/2/2012

Greetings GEB users. Today we updated Google Earth Builder. Noticeable
updates include:
**

   - You can now add a link to your Maps that references KML files hosted
from your own or a third party server.  Learn more<http://support.google.com/earthbuilder/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=250...>.

   - We now only permit processed and published layers to be added to maps.
   - In the Map Details Page there is now a link to view the Map ID and all
stable Layer Keys for that map. This is for developers who wish to use the Google
Maps API Javascript library<https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/maps_for_...>for Google Earth Builder.
   - The look and feel of the Help Center<http://support.google.com/earthbuilder/> has
changed. All of the previous content is there, but a new navigation system
makes content easier to browse and discover.
   - We've posted a new introductory tutorial<http://support.google.com/earthbuilder/bin/static.py?hl=en&page=guide...>.
This tutorial shows new Earth Builder users how to create an imagery-based
   map.
