ge plugin on linux ?

hi, i wanted to give a small "up" to this thread :

but for an unknown reason i couldn't find a way a way to post a new

anyway the question is the same : now that it is 2009, would there be
an estimated time (or period) for the ge plugin beeing availalble with
linux?

Unfortunately Google doesn't comment on upcoming features or product
launches--I can't really say much past that.
