Has anyone been able to figure out how to get placemarks to show up if it is inside a model [.dae file].  As of now I have a huge transparent sphere/bubble encompassing about a mile of land.  I have several placemarks inside the sphere.  When I'm zoomed out and i'm able to see the sphere and the placemark's label but not the placemarks icon.  I understand that the placemark's altitude is lower than the altitude of the model but is there a way to trigger the rendering of the placemark's icon in a transparent model?  I'm able to see the earth/street/buildings just fine, even the placemarks label, just not the placemark's icon.

I am currently using the Google Earth Javascript API to inject these models/placemarks but the behavior is the same if inserted in via KML or Javascript in both the Google Earth Application and also the Google Earth Plug-In in all browsers.

Please help!  Any suggestions would be appreciated.
