3D view gets cloned inside overview map

When switching to Earth view in an existing Google Map showing an
overview map (GOverviewMapControl) the 3D view gets cloned within the
overview map -and- it also clone the main map (3 x 3D views).

As a workaround any ideas on how to hide the overview map before going
3D? is that possible at all?

Thanks for replying Mano. I was too excited to have the Earth view
working and decided to hide the Overview Map and now it works
perfectly, e.g: http://www.wikiloc.com/wikiloc/view.do?id=92913

I think it could easily be reproduced by just creating a map, adding
the GOverviewMapControl to it and switching to the Earth view.
