How to get latest update of Google Earth and Plug-in

I received a notice that Google Earth had to be updated to v6.2.0.5905.  I went to G.E. and used the built-in updater. It reported that the update that would be installed was v6.1.0.5001, not the latest one. But when I finished doing the update and checked the version number using Comm-I on my iMac, I got v6.0.3.2197.  It seems to going backwards in version numbers! Why, and how do I get the latest version?

So am I ever going to get the dope on HOW to update Google Earth to
6.2.0.5905? I see another posting that someone was able to update to
6.2.0.5905. Why are my updates going backwards and getting older
instead of the latest?

Hi John,

That definitely seems like strange behavior. For installation issues,
I would check out the help center and, if that doesn't help, the help
forums. This forum is mostly for development issues.
