A new strong requirement from Google_earth

Dear, KML Developers~

I am very interested in Google_earth.
I noted one thing:

Google earth can show the name of "place mark", with configuration of
it, from which I can set the color and something else of the name by
"lable configuration".

However, for another object "path", Google earth can not display the
name of the "path" even I can set the name of the path.

If google earth can support this function, it will be very useful for
us. We can set the distance between 2 cites or maybe some remark on
the roads, and get the information when I open google earth.

Thanks a lot to Google Earth developers, waiting for new version with
the expected function.

Hi there,

Thanks for the suggestion. One common workaround is to create a Point
for each LineString you want labeled, placing the Point somewhere on
the LineString itself. This thread has a more detailed example of
