Icon Size

How can I keep the sizes of my place icons constant so that they don't
get larger as I zoom out?

They aren't getting larger. Everything else is getting smaller. I
have considering changing icon sizes dynamically by having small ones
at high altitudes and larger ones at lower altitudes. I am advised
this will require setting regions in my kml's. You might read-up on
regions. It sounds like a very useful concept but a pain to
implement.
