Can I change the unit format in StatusBar and Scale Legend?

I want to change the Lat/Long format from Degrees,Minutes,Seconds to
Decimal Degrees and Elevation unit from Feet,Miles to
Meters,Kilometers in StatusBar.

Can I do this?

Way ahead now may 2011, i do have exactly the same question as Zack_TW had on august, 18th 2008.

 

I also want to show Decimal Degrees in my GE StatusBar, exactly as it can be done in the Google Earth - Extra - Options form ...

Is that already possible?
