Hi Dave and Pat,
The 'status bar' in the plug-in (and full application) will show the
elevation (elev) of the point directly under the mouse in feet above
sea level.
Using this I can see that:
The junction of Summit Lane and Bowdoin Way is around 447 ft above sea
level
The top end of Summit lane (towards Main St) is around 427 ft above
sea level
Another method would be to use the USGS National Map Viewer to get the
data:
http://nmviewogc.cr.usgs.gov/viewer.htm
I did a quick query for you - here is the data for roughly the mid-
point on Summit Lane:
Elevation: 445 Feet
Latitude: 47° 48' 24''
Longitude: -122° 20' 57''
U.S. National Grid (USNG) Coordinates: 10T ET 48739 95016 (NAD83)
Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) Coordinates: 10 548739 5295016
Source: NED CONTIGUOUS U. S. 1/3W ARC SECOND ELEVATION DATA
Hope that helps.
