Fetch KML with contents folder unchecked

I am trying to fetch a KML network link. The file loads into API okay.
Hovever, the contents fo the file do not show up because they are not
checked inside the KML.
I do not generate the KML so I don't have control over its contents
being checked.
Does anyone have any work around or a simple line of code to
automatically have all the contents checked before appending to the
API?

I believe you will have to parse the kml and change the values you
want before displaying it.
