I am getting this error on IE: "The Google Earth Plugin does not yet
support this browser" when loading my GE Plug-in app. It just started
today. I see a post saying that GE Plugin has been disabled on IE,
but that was in Mar. This same page was working yesterday, so I don't
know if that is it or not. I also see a post about re-installing the
GE plugin. That didn't work for me. Also, everything works fine
under Chrome.

Anyone else seeing this problem? Any solutions?

Hi,

Which version of IE are you using and on which OS?

FYI IE8 works for me but only when I set it to compatiblity mode (i.e
I press the 'broken page' button just to the right of the address
bar)

I'm using IE7 on Win. XP.
Also, my GWT Hosted mode Browser doesn't display GE anymore. Though,
I don't get an error message of any kind.

Thanks,
Curtis

The main GE Plugin site (http://code.google.com/apis/earth/) works
fine. So it must be something with our application. Though, the page
hasn't changed, and it all of a sudden stopped working. Also, it
isn't just one GE app, we have multiple apps. that stopped working.

Another note, our apps have never rendered correctly with FireFox; GE
wouldn't show up at all. Now GE is appearing, but our other div
objects are hidden by the plugin. In IE, our div objects are(were)
below GE. I know this points to something that we are doing wrong.
Though, nothing has changed with our apps. Has Google updated their
GE JavaScript? Also, some of our apps are using GWT 1.6 with a very
simple layout. Other apps, are straight JavaScript.

Thanks again,
Curtis

Hi cj,

Without seeing your code it is really hard to say what the issue could
be.
One thing I would look at is the possibility you are passing strings
to functions that expect floats or integers.
As the plug-in has developed there have been progressively stricter
checks on the type.
Maybe read through this thread to see if this sounds like it could be
the case.

I had exactly the same thing happen. I haven't changed any code on
this page for weeks, and it's been working fine -- and in the last
couple of days I get the same message (i.e., "The Google Earth Plugin
does not yet support this browser").

Hi all,

Which precise browsers, and which versions? By the way, if it's IE8,
then this is expected, although we are enabling IE8 very soon.

Also, if it's website specific, please provide links.

Thanks!
Roman
