Tour of KML Path in Google Earth API

Does anyone have any code that will tour over (fly over) the vertices/
points of a kml file in the Google Earth API? I'm experienced in
Google Maps API, but not Google Earth API. I'm creating a bunch of
kml files representing running & biking routes for races and want to
develop an application for participants to tour the race prior to race
day.

Chris,

Thanks for the help. I was hoping someone could just provide a
working solution/example, since I'm a novice javascript programmer
also. I will look over all this code and see what I can develop.
