Hi all,

When creating placements, you must now include at least 1 ad unit to start. If you need a default ad unit in your workflow, you can use the Network.effectiveRootAdUnitId field, which will target all of your inventory.

Thanks,

Thank you for the update on Placements. We find them very useful for managing our inventory and they really help our trafficking team. However we have found that reporting on them cannot be straight forward. Do you know if the reporting aspect will be improved? One area I would be keen to report on is placement by geographical breakdown.

Many thank

Erin

Kind Regards

Hi Erin,

Your question may warrant a thread of it's own but have you looked into a reportQuery with the PLACEMENT and REGION_CRITERIA_ID or
REGION_NAME dimensions?  There are also equivalent country and city dimensions.

Thank you for your note Jeffery.

The issue is I need to run a report by Advertiser or Order / Placement and then country. From the UI settings, if I use the placement reporting tool although I have the option to report by Country I cannot filet by Advertiser/Order.

Also if I use the Advertiser reporting tool then I can filter by placement but I do not get the option to filter then by country.

Any advice as to how I can pull this in one report would be great.

Best

Hi Erin,

The UI and API are consistent in that respect; the ADVERTISER, PLACEMENT, COUNTRY combination of dimension throws a reporting error for invalid dimensions.

Thanks,
