Hi, I used to enjoy my news alerts, poping out in the lower right corner of my screen , but that changed a few weeks ago. Apparently without a reason my news alert stopped from poping out, and it was not possible for me to make them work the way they did. What can I do to restore such behaviour ?... more »

installing index plugin

Google desktop tells me the installation of an indexing plugin failed beacause it could not register the extensions. Also I cant seem to uninstall General Cadd indexer and I wonder if it still has them as registered extensions.

I cannot install Google Desktop on an XP professional SP2 OS on 64bit h/w where I am the administrator. The error message is Cannot create directories and registry keys. Crawl not yet started in windows 7

Hi all, Fotr some reason i after i've installed the gds it start index for 5 mintus or so, and after 605 files it stops. looking for the reason and it says Crawl not yet started i disabled the windows search as i saw in some forums but still. need help thanks

Web clips ordering is wrong

I only use 1 feed in the default web clips sidebar. However the sidebar display ordering is all wrong.. it shows xxxxx 9 mins ago xxxxx 5 mins ago xxxxx 22 mins ago xxxxx 12 mins ago I check the actual feed data ordering and it is all well and works on other feed reader. Any thought in this issue ?

Windows 7 locking up

I installed the desktop on my Windows 7 64 bit system and it started to lock up all the time. I would have to do a hard reset in order to get it up and running again. For some reason, Desktop has stopped indexing my Outlook .pst files on 2/2. When I search my results, the latest emails retrieved are before 2/2. I tried re-indexing and this did not work.
