My suggestion would be going for an alternative to Google Desktop. I <br> found Lookeen (<a target="_blank" rel=nofollow href="http://www.lookeen.net">[link]</a>) as a great search tool for Outlook. <br> You can add several .pst files to be included in the index/search and <br> so have instant access to them as well. If you can't get GD to run it <br> might be worth a try. Lookeen btw can also be used as a desktop search

A work around for the problem. When you type the query in GD, if you <br> do not have chrome browser open, then the results do not show. You <br> just see chrome with a blank tab. But if you have 'open chrome <br> browser' and you type a query in GD then the result will show in a new <br> tab in chrome.
