Subject: Can't install Google Desktop :(
I have reinstalled my Windows XP Professional SP3 and now I can't
install Google Desktop. I've downloaded proposed installation and when
I click on it, nothing happens..
In Process Exporer Desktop installation is visible for a few seconds
and then dissapears. Firewall and antivirus are disabled. Any ideas
how to solve the problem?  In the net I've found only messages with
the same problem, but no solution :(

Hi, depends how you reinstalled Windows- repair install (leaving
applications mostly intact), reformat and reinstall? Or maybe you
uninstalled SP3 and reinstalled it?

Anyway, assuming it wasn't the second of those, look for the manual
uninstall instructions in this group, and check for stray registry
entries, and delete your old index.

If you did a complete new Windows install (requiring all apps to be
reinstalled) that's a different problem.

Yes, it was a completly new installation, though my folder 'Documents
and Settings' remained from the previous one - I always keep it on
other, than system disk. I renamed Google folders, but it didn't help.
Is it possible to run GoogleDesktopSetup in debug mode to get know
what's wrong with the installation?
