Subject: Indexing PDF contents on Network Drive
OK, maybe it's user error or a system limitation.

I'm trying to setup a paperless office with minimal requirements of
renaming every document we scan with OCR recognition.

All the files save as a PDF with searchable contents. There is a
central server where all the PDFs are saved.  I have the network
folder mapped on Google Desktop on other computers.

When I search for filenames, it comes up fine for the users.  But when
I try to search for words INSIDE the PDF, it won't show up, even
though on the server itself, Windows Vista search will be able to
search the contents.

Is this a limitation, or am I doing something wrong?

More background:

I've been scanning searchable PDFs onto my local machine for the
longest time and the built in indexing for Windows Vista was awesome.
I could just type a phrase and it'll instantly show a thumbnail image
of every document/invoice that has that word.  Unfortunately, Vista
doesn't seem to share this AWESOME search capability with network
drives :(  which makes me extremely sad, now that more people need to
access the files.
