Good luck finding a solution. I've been trying almost every day for 3
weeks. I've uninstalled and re-installed GDS without any luck -- it
will only partially index OE emails. I've tried everything I can think
of.

One day I created a new identity and made it the Main Identity, and
then zapped the original main identity (after I made a copy of the
subdirs and the dbx files). Installed GDS afresh, and ran it. GDS
found the one eamil in there, being the welcome email from MS. So far
so good. I then copied all the dbx files into the new identity using
Explorer (the store location is in Tools-Options-Maintenance), and
logged in to OE to see if all the old emails were in the new identity.
Check, they're all there. Hit the re-index button and ran it
overnight.

GDS found 376 of them .. but there are over 6,000 of them. I can't
find any common link between the 376 that it did find, and the ones it
didn't .. it wasn't the folder they were in, it wasn't the dates of
the emails, it wasn't the sender, it wasn't the receiver, it wasn't
who was CCed, or whatever; it seemed to be completely random .. which
is weird, as computer programmes are supposed to do things
systematically and logically.

I've given up. It's a brilliant tool, but I've had to uninstal GDS to
retain my sanity.

And the Google folks don't seem to be watching at all.

One possibility might be to select all the emails in a folder, and
then mark them unread and then read.  That worked with Thunderbird,
which also was not indexing.
