ODT files still not being indexed

Hello,

I have the same problem here that others have reported previously. The
OpenOffice Indexer Gadget does not seem to work any more. I do
have .odt files in my index, but new ones do not get indexed at all.

Has anyone found a solution to this problem yet?

Is it difficult to program a new .odt indexer? Maybe it's worthwhile
making a new one, since "Larry" does not seem to update this thing.
