use enscript to support MOST programming language formats

Would be cool to use enscript to support the syntax of most programming
languages.
Of course enscript is GPL and linking with it would mean open-source
this plug-in as well, I guess, but that can't be a bad thing either 0=)

Well - CPP Plugin is going to be open source soon.
I am working on the Java, VB and C# versions now. So, I'll release it
as soon as possible...

Then if everything goes well in beta - I'll club all of them into one
plugin for most of the prog. languages. Right now - I am stuck with
getting the thumbnails right :-)

Another issue is that I need syntax coloring not just direct convertion
to HTML - I am not sure if encript supports that. It would be great if
it did...would you know?

Yup it does support that: I'm sure because <a
href="http://viewcvs.sourceforge.net/">ViewCVS</a> uses it for its own
syntax coloring, and it is a web front-end, so it surely needs the HTML
output.

Right. I'll explore this more deeply and see how this can be leveraged
for the CPP Plugin. Great idea! Thanks!
