Hello IIT gadget developers!

I'm an engineer on the Google Desktop team and have worked closely
with Lahiru over the past few years.

My favorite result of the Google Desktop Ambassador program has been
seeing the work of students from all over the world. We have active
ambassadors in Romania, Indonesia, and Pakistan who have successfully
held contests and seminars.

I am happy to see this contest at IIT has gone underway. As Lahiru
could tell you, gadgets give you a chance to write real applications
that millions of people can enjoy. It also is a good way to improve
your programming skills and become "famous" in our Hall of Fame ;)
