hi,

i would like some pages to be indexed so that they are returned by CSE
but i don't want them to be returned by the general google search.

is that possible?

Hi loupiote,

Currently, any page that you make available for your CSE will also be
available to return as a result on Google.com because CSE uses the
same crawl system as Google.com. Hope that helps clarify things.

thanks.

however, there seems to be cases where pages are returned by
google,com but not by the CSE.

i posted an example in this thread:

i got no answer.

here is a copy of it:

the index used by CSE seems to be different from the one used by
normal google search.

for example, on our site's CSE, a "web search" for "creatures of the
loin loupiote" does not return any page on www.loupiote.com :
http://www.google.com/cse?cx=partner-pub-4851489479415775:jp2d4u-g33s...

while the same search on google return our page in first position:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=creatures+of+the+loin+loupiote&b...

if we do this search on our CSE site search (i.e. only on
loupiote.com), we find no result.
the page in question that should be found ( http://www.loupiote.com/photos/2903608767.shtml
) has been in the google index for more than one month.

why isn't it in the index used by CSE?
