Thanks for getting this API up and going! As we're building our site to use it, we want to make sure we handle all the corner cases.

Can someone from Google maybe provide some addresses which result in different kinds of output?  The only example I have right now is the one in the API docs, which returns a valid polling place as well as some early voting sites.  The things I'm thinking of are:

* Address without a valid polling place (easy enough, but would like to know it'll remain stable)
* Address with a polling place, but no early voting sites
* Address which results in a "can't be parsed" result (I'm using "London, England" right now)

Thanks!

Hi David,

We'll be adding some guidelines and expanded documentation for how to use the data coming back from the API.  Please stay tuned for this.  At this point, you can't really rely on a polling place not changing as the data can change regularly.  Additionally, data in the test election is subject to change as states publish new test feeds to us.  You'll have more stable examples in the production election (4000) once we start surfacing data there.

Hope this helps,

-David

Thanks, Chetan. Are you able to share a schedule for this yet? As you can imagine, we're eager to make sure things are working well in advance of the big day. :)

Also, do you know if there are plans to add the precinct number or other identifier to the polling place information?

Thanks,

-David

Understood.  We can't share the schedule at this moment.

We don't plan to add precinct numbers for this initial version.  This was a common request on the Election Center API and we'd love to provide it.   We're going to work with our data providers to provide this in a consistent fashion in a later version (after the general election).

Thanks for confirming. We'll work with that information accordingly. :)
