This web page requires data that you entered earlier in order to be
properly displayed. You can send this data again, but by doing so you
will repeat any action this page previously performed. Press Reload to
resend that data and display this page.
Is there anything else I can do besides reload?..
I'm on an website that requires that I sign in... then I go and do
things but when I have to go back which is the only navigation option
for the site I get the above message. If I reload it takes me all the
way back to the sign in screen.. skipping any steps that were done in
between. Maybe I have some setting wrong?... It works perfectly with
other browsers.
Most times I hit the back (or sometimes the forward) button, I get
this very annoying "Confirm Form Resubmission" page. Unless this is
resolved, I do not plan on continuing using Chrome.

This is an EXTREMELY annoying issue, which has plagued all major
browsers since they were invented. Browsers need to understand the
concept: "Yes, I understand I need to re-submit a form. No, I don't
need you to ask for permission to do it." It seems like it would be a
trivial matter to add the option to resubmit automatically.
Considering Chrome is open-source, maybe someone could make a plug-in
that detects when a form needs resubmitting and does it
automatically...
The only problem with that, is sometimes it's a terrible thing to
resubmit forms. Think about purchasing items online, or even just the
increase of double posts of forums like this. I wish google would go
with something like FireFox has, so it isnt as jarring as it is now.
But don't get rid of it.

I agree. Google needs to come up with a way, FAST, to make
resubmitting a form less of a hassle. It would be such an easy fix to
allow users to pick a setting in the options that lets you
automatically resubmit a page without being asked if you knew what you
were doing. Of course you know what you're doing. I've been switching
back to old browsers whenever I think I'm going to be pressing the
back button.

I have the exact same problem! They must come up with a solution for
this. Im working daily on these kind of pages and was very happy to
see Google release. As it it 10 times faster than other browsers. But
i cant use it anyway as I have to do things over and over when i
usually just press the back button...
Indeed, it is quite annoying to need to answer that question every
time I press Back button. There should be an option to choose one way
or another.
Actually, I don't quite understand why would anyone want to resubmit
anything at all - most of the time I just want to go back to the page
without resubmitting.
I also cannot use Chrome until there is an option to auto-submit data.
Websites I use everyday have this message, and when I refresh, all the
data on forms needs to be re-entered (there's no message on FF/IE and
the forms are filled in).
Please Google, add an option! Or else, a great number of users will
not be able to use what is otherwise an excellent browser.
Actually, I stopped using Chrome because of this annoyance!! I might
go back to Chrome if all annoyances are gone. And YES, when google
Chrome ADDS ADDONS like FIREFOX.

Well I am of the same opinion as Wiss, I cant carry on using this
browser with this bug in it. I keep trying but I hit these sites that
show the bug up and back has to come firefox.
I thought FF was open source, cant the functionality in FF be ported
to Chrome, without this I cant see how anyone can use this browser
without the back of another such as FF or IE, so why change?
I went from IE to Chrome, and I dont know how IE solved it, but
usually on these kinds of pages the form was NOT submitted, but the
data the former submit created was still shown...
What I mean is that the web CONTENT was saved in the "back-cache", not
my ACTIONS. In my oppinion, I think that would be a good way to deal
with "Confirm Form Resubmission" problem. But then again, maybe it is
a problem for the webpage makers, since even in IE not ALL pages works
like this, so it must be more than the browser that create this
problem (coding problem).
So question is do we get the same result for example GET and POST form
actions?
WELL GOOGLE, where is your reply? Haven't you had enough feedback on
this issue? Haven't we been asking long enough? Where is your
solution? Are you even listening? Get on it or I'm going back to
Firefox.

I don't know the answer, but I want to let you know that I agree with
you. On websites I frequently visit, I have to hit back four or five
times, and completely loose my place before I can view a webpage
again. A big thumbs down, and I feel your pain
