Are you guys also receiving an "Application failed to initialize
properly" error when you launch chrome/attempt to go to a URL? Or just
only getting the Aw, Snap page with no error message?

Same thing...
Windows XP SP3
On entering page address first an error is shown without any
description, on refresh - just white page, txt does not render.
Symantec installed (I've stopped it's processes - didn't help)
PCMAN and Radmin installed - I can'tstop them.
some more problems I found that may be the reason:
IIS doesn't start, windows firewall doesn't work and fails to register
alloedprogram
I am having the same problem. XP SP3 IE7 which works fine. I am at
work and on their network so maybe it has to do with proxy
authentication? If I am not mistaken IE automatically logs in using
the info you provide at login. Not sure if Chrome can do this.

Same problem here. Aw, Snap page comes up (instantly) after I enter a
URL (www.google.com) then if I click refresh, I get a blank white
page. After having to figure out a work-around to get the installer to
download behind my work firewall this isn't a good start!

This is really disappointing. I am surprised a Google dev hasn't
dropped by to let us know what is going on. I think we should tackle
this problem before we start worrying about stuff like mouse scrolling
speeds being too slow, etc.
I'm getting the same error. I'm unable to render a text file as well.
I've also noticed that if I right click on the toolbar, Chrome crashes
and logs the following in the application log.
"Faulting application chrome.exe, version 0.0.0.0, time stamp
0x48b8a514, faulting module chrome.dll, version 0.2.149.27, time stamp
0x48b8a4e1, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x001a7671,
process id 0xe68, application start time 0x01c90d61d6d43e6b."
I'm running Vista x32 SP1.
I tried disabling SAV, defender etc..... I uninstalled, rebooted and
reinstalled as local user and domain admin account, attempted to run
Chrome via the the different accounts as well. Not sure what else I
can try.

I have also noticed that Google Installer is constantly running in
task manager.
