Subject: Downloading files . . .
I am unable to download/open attachments (such as Word files) on my
desktop computer with Chrome (no problems with my laptop). It's as if
the download is being blocked or something, although I don't get an
error message. Basically, the download just sits there, and eventually
is cancelled. I have cleaned my caches, redownloaded the browser, done
numerous comp. maintenance stuff, and still no go.

Any suggestions?

I am experiencing the same problem including downloading programs and
recommended updates. Downloading seems to halt without further notice.
Sometimes, you will see a timer/progress indicator running but it will
never proceed until the end. I made sure my firewall is not blocking
Chrome. Could it be McAfee causing troubles here?
