I am opening a window from GCF using window.open:

window.open (url, '_blank');

A new tab in the browser opens as expected, but the page simply has the url:

http://localhost:8080/?attach_external_tab&155341312&4&0&0&0&0&iexplore

And never goes to the actual URL that I passed in window.open.  This is on

In the address bar, next to the URL, is a broken page icon for
Compatibility View ... When I click that broken icon, then the page goes
where it is supposed to go.  But it never goes there automatically.  I have
reset IE to its default settings in the hope that it was something I
tweaked, but no luck.
