People working on web applications? It's a first world problem for sure, but it's still annoying as hell

Hey,

You will have the "Show rulers" checkbox in the "General" tab of the DevTools settings in the latest Chrome 24 (and it should be off by default).

@media (max-width: ???) {}

Granted, it's the only use I've found so far, but it takes the guess work out of finding break-points for responsive sites.

Any chance you'd be willing to gift the community with a user stylesheet hotfix?

#obnoxious-rulers { display: none; }
or
#obnoxious-rulers { background: 0; }

^ something like that.

I am unable to adequately compare the margins of my website due to the ruler.  It is of grave hinderance to the large scale development I create.  Please provide hotfix.

The next version (due in a week or two, according to the approximate schedule) should have such option, if I am not mistaken.

I can't see the things I'm trying to position, because the rulers are in the way, I want to see wether Chrome adds some sort of margin or something, but no, I'm just supposed to see some useless nagging ruler...

In the settings (gear button in the bottom right corner), General, there should be a check box setting for that.
