My account was verified last fall. I even made one purchase from one
of my mfg's with the account. However, we just launched. My account
was labeled as "unavailable" and so i called my bank. I even spoke to
my branch manager who said this is an issue with Google, to call them.

Call them? There is NO phone number and no chat support and NO tech
support. I am NOT new to the credit card transaction scene. I have an
Authorize.net account but wanted to make life as easy as possible for
my customers by offering this Google nonsense. I am going to contact
the Better Business Bureau if I do not get my money. I strongly
recommend that anyone else who has issues does the same. This is the
kind of garbage I would expect from Yahoo but never thought Google was
like this. This is a sham. Small businesses cannot afford to wait 5
days or more to get their money deposited. Paymentech did that with
their contract to Yahoo store owners and got slammed for it. Beware of
anything that is free. No wonder why Google is offering this. This is
not a way to do business. In a sagging economy, the last thing I need
is hassles from an unknown credit card processor.

I got a response from a "Lisa" who told me the cookie cutter response
about waiting to verify my account. It WAS already verfied. Now I have
to go through this again? I am going to get my money and go. No thank
you. There is a reason why they are offering this free. Think about it.

Hi GreenBanana,

Thanks for posting. If you used your Checkout account to make a
purchase from one of your manufacturers, it sounds like you were using
your Buyer account in the past. I’m sorry for any confusion that may
have caused.

Once you verify the bank account that is currently associated with
your Merchant account, a payout will be initiated and you will receive
any pending funds in your Merchant account within two business days.

But what if your merchant account is the same as your purchase
account? Google does not seem to have taken that into consideration.

NO, they do not and it doesnt matter. You get what you pay for. They
offer NO tech support, No phone support and I keep getting the same
emails telling me that I DID something wrong. Then they agree that my
account is verified and that within 2 days, the money will be
deposited. That was 3 days ago. My bank manager has been closely
watching this and has seen this with Paypal in the past. Everyone is
just very surprise that Google would jeopardize their good name by
pulling slick tricks like this to make a fast buck. In the interim, I
still have a complaint with the BBB and next is with the Attorney
General. Perhaps if we can get a class action law suit going, Google
will take their merchants more seriously.
